COMPETITION VERY DULL. •' (By Tclearaph.-'Prcss Association.*' Dunodln, Januarv 19. ■The principal wool cale of the season was held to-day. wiles 22.139 bales wore offered, as against 24.176 bales at the corresponding Gale in 1910. Buyers were not perhaps so numerous as at former sales, and buyers for various woollen mills in New Zealand did not compete so keenly as usual, as so many of them had already almost filled requirements. It had been been expected that the uncertainty of the Ilome market would be reflected here, but the result proved to be worse for growers tUan had been anticipated. Competition
