THREE LIVES LOST.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. Berlin, January 18. The submarine U3 which sank in Heikondorf Bay has been raised. The two officers and the coxswain, who gallantly remained on board until the others were safe, were found dead in tho oonning tower. Efforts to resuscitate them failed. A hitch that occurred, in connection with tho oxygen apparatus rendered rescue work difficult. A lieutenant, a petty officer, and a stoker gallantly entered tho torpedo tube and effected the rescues. Some of the rescued were unconscious. , The three bodies found in the conning tower showed slight signs of life when first recovered. Tho accident was due to a defective
