DANMEVIRKE TOURNAMENT. -.SECOND DAY'S' PLAY. (By' Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.! . Dannevirko, January IS. Tho weather cleared this morning for the second day of tho Dannevirko Club's annual tournament.. Tho wind was a triflo high, but the light was much, better than yesterday. Tho courts played well, and won tbo general approbation of players. Another large crowd of spectators was present, and the chief interest to-day' centred in the third round of the combined champion doubles,»between Miss Nunneley'and l ''Brown and Miss L. Williams and Parker. The games were keenly contested, though Brown, and Miss Nunneley outclassed their opponents in the first set, winning by 6—l. Brown's smash was very much in evidence, while his partner was*'driving splendidly. Parker and Miss' Williams played better in the eecond set, and; led by 5—3, but Brown and Miss Nunneley came upl and won by *6—5. capturing threo games successively. The semi-final for the men's championship singles between Parker and Cox also created great interest. The match was marked by some magnificent rallies. Parker's wrist play," however,- gave him some superiority* and lie succeeded in winning by (r-2, The following were tho results:-—
