COTTON DEPRESSION ENDS.
BUSY TIME IN LANCASHIRE. By Telegraph—Press Association—CopyrightLondon, January 17. The depression in the Lancashire cotton trade has ended, and there is now more employment than there are operatives. Some experts believe that cotton stocks will prove insufficient to keep things going until the next crop is available, and that as a result there is the possibility of ridiculously inflated prices before September next.
