A meeting of the Teachers' SuperanJ miation Board was held yesterday. Tha lion. D. Buddo, Acting-Minister for Education, . presided. ' ■ "Under the terms of tho original Act, six contributors who had reached tha retiring age were granted amounts of ■£02 per annum. .. One contributor, win retired as medically unfit, received .£52, Three widows -were granted <£16 per an. num. and one child ss. a week until till ago of 11 years is reached. j Under the provisions of the amending Act of 1908, eight contributors, whoso age entitled them to retire, were granted allowances ranging from .£sl to .£6O. Oho contributor for special causes was granted .£lls 18s. 3d. -Four contributors, medic.' ally unfit, .were granted allowances rang, ing from £2' 6s. to X'loß'l6s. One widow, was granted JEJS per anmim, and oc« child ss. a week, until reaching, the-age The number of contributors to the faa<j was reported to bo 3217.
