A STRANGE ACCIDENT. NOT YET ACCOUNTED FOR. (By Teleurapli.—Spcclat Correspondent.! Wanganui, January 17. A strange accident occurred in the railway station yard this morning,. when a shunter named Wm. M'Gonaglo was found with his arm broken and several severe bruises about tho body. How he sustained the injuries is not knownj as ho is not yet able to give an intelligible account of the accident, but it is believed that, in some way, he became squeezed between the end of the yards for loading cattle, and. a passing truck. A peculiar feature of the affair, however, is that two or thrco large beams of wood are broken 011 the end of the yards.. The truck cleared them quito easily, and it seems.impossiblo that the man struck them with such force as to dfcct such a smash. The injured man i 9 now doing as well as can be expectcd at tho hospital.
