An Afternoon Tea. ' . . A delightful afternoon tea was , given by 'Mrs. H. M.. Stephens ■ at' her house in Ivelbnrne, yesterday, when about thirty guests (many of'whom were old Dunedin residents) .were present. ✓. The function was in honour of tfie hostess's sister, Mrs.. Jliss Ivate Gair,' an Australian girl, and a former member of the Brougli-Bouci-cault-Comedy Company, has returned to ! Sydney. While . travelling,, with Mrs. Brough in' New Zealand Miss. Gair met Dr. Robert Schachner,' professor of polit-' "ical economy at tho University of Jena -who. was gathering material for his work' "The Politics, Economics, and Culture of Australia."
