At a meeting of the Wanganui Labour party last evening, Mr. Walter Grey was selected as tho party's, candidate for the municipal by-election. ' Mr. Allan Eobinson> is also announced as a. candidate, and it is believed that Mr. C. L. Bridges will alio stand. The Wanganui East Borough Council is raising: another loan, of ,£IO,OOO, to complete their drainage system, and read formation. The same council has also set up a committee to go into the question of amalgamation.with the Borough of Wanganui.
