MUNICIPAL CANDIDATES. . (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) ' . Wanaanui, January 1". Tho following is the cargo shipped on bonnl the Tyser liner Star of Scotland, which sailed this morning for London, via. Wellingtonl3,23s carcasses of lamb; 6515 carcasses of mutton; 500 quarters of beef; 56 crates of legs and shoulders; 11 haunches; 15 carcasses of pigs; 1 erato of kidneys; 19 casks of casings; 103 casks of tallow; 33 of pelts; 773 bales of wool. At a meeting of the Wanganui Labour party last evening, Mr. Walter Grey was selected as tho party's, candidate for the municipal by-election. ' Mr. Allan Eobinson> is also announced as a. candidate, and it is believed that Mr. C. L. Bridges will alio stand. The Wanganui East Borough Council is raising: another loan, of ,£IO,OOO, to complete their drainage system, and read formation. The same council has also set up a committee to go into the question of amalgamation.with the Borough of Wanganui.
