CRICKET. THE WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION. giving t:p the basin again. ■ A meeting of the Wellington Cricket •Association was held last evening, ,llr. Al. Luckio presiding. Wellington Centre of (ho New Zealand Amntcur Athletic Association notified that it was applying to the. City Council on behalf ct tho Port Nicholson Ohib lor tho use of tho Basin Eeservo on rebrunrv 11, and expressed tho hop-a that the Cricket Association would offer no obj jection. I • Considerable discussion, arose, hut no serious objection was mad*, and it was decided that provided tho committee did not require tho ground for the Welling-ton-Otago match tho association would not oppose the application. It was to be furUer understood that the date asked for was viewed as an exchange for January 28. . It was decided that the Wednesday Association be given tho use of the fiasin Reserve on January 23 and 21. MATCH AT PETONE.
