NOVELTY IN ADVERTISING
The latest novelty advertising idea is ono that .'has been carried out by Messrs. Ilennah and Jackson, of Wellington. It. is to supply massive pieces of solid -oak furniture to leading hotels and other business places largely frequented by the public. Each article has many panels, on which ' appear advertisements in poker work dono on leather and coloured in waterproof inks. The poker work is executed by Mr. Hennah, and the various designs are- decidedly -attractive. The first piece o£ furnituro completed is a massive hallstand, measuring seven feet high and eleven feet long, which is on view at the Grand Hotel, Willis Street, where it is attracting a good deal of favourable notice. Messrs. Hennah and Jackson have protected their idea, and it is understood that it is the intention to instal pieces of furniture on sircilar lines throughout, the leading citie.'j of New Zealand and Australia.
