COLOSSAL OVER-SUBSCRIPTION. . By Toleffraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Rec. January 16, 10 p.m.) Vienna, January 16. Details of the colossal over-subscription of tho recent Hungarian loan show .that of applications totalling ,£583,000,000, some five hundred millions were subscribed in. Germany, sixty-six millions in Austria, and sixteen millions in Hungary. The remainder came from Belgium, Switzerland, and Holland. Details of the loan were cabled on September 29. : The Hungarian press announces to-day, with somo degree of satisfaction (wrote tlie Vienna correspondent of "The Times" on September 28) that arrangements are practically worth fwlu mfwyp mfwyp y practically concluded for raising part at least of the .£23,300,000 which it had originally been hoped to obtain from French investors. It is said that with tho help of tho grfiup of banks in Hungary, Austria, and Germany, supported by seme other Germain financial institutes, the .£9,000,000 Hungarian Treasury Bills redeemable at the end of the current year will be paid off or will bo exchanged for a fresh issue of Treasury Bills redeemable two years henee, and that some 000 will bo raised in addition by issues of Hungarian Gold Rente andvCrowji Rente, in Germany and Austria-Hungary. The most pressing needs cf tho Hungarian Exchequer would thus bo met, and time would bo regained to seo what aspect tho financial situation of Hungary and, of .the Dual Monarchy will present after the estimates have been presented to 'the Austrian and the Hungarian Parliaments and the joint, estimates .to the delegations for 1910 and 1911, which are expected to meet in October and, in December, next.i
