' The. statutory annual 'me-sting of the "Wellington Harbour Board, to hnve' been held yesterday, lapsed for want -of. a , quorum.: According to the chairman (Sir. R. Fletcher), the new Harbour Boards Act, passed last -session, provides that' tho annual'matins shall be'held in. March, the last month of the financial year, but the architects of tho Bill, when designing the Measure, omitted to repeal that particular clauso iu tho old Act. which provided that the annual meetings of harbour boards should bo held in January. Having at-tom'pted-to fulfil the unrepealed provision of tho . old Act in this particular, the board will now wait for the date pre.-.cno-cd by the'new Act for its annual meeting.
