MINISTERS CRICKET MATCH.

A PLEASANT EVENT. : T - •Eather a pleasant annual fixture is tha Conference, cricket match, in which the ministers of tho Primitive Methodist" Church try their skill against their lay brethren. .They are busy .. people these, ministers, and their moments of relaxation are naturally none the less enjoyed on that account. .Iu the conference game _ yesterday the laymen were victorious. In., its progress the match presented an endless variety in styles.of batting and fielding. Among" the achievements to which, it gave rise, a catch that, was skilfully taken by the superintendent of the Stratford circuit stands but as a feature. The ministers' team, as will be seen, made a bit of a stand in opening its innings,, but dwindled away afterwards.
