According, to tho immigration and emigration returns published in this week's Gazette, 3441 persons entered the Dominion during the month. of October, and 2124 persons as against 2879 arrivals ill. Octouer, 190!), and 2175 departures for the. same month. Tho figures for the port of Wellington were 2070 arrivals and'Bol departures. Three Chinese arrived' at Auckland during the month, and 20 .at Wellington, while seven left Auckland, and eight left Wellington. .
