The report states;—We- hod a fair i entry of both sheep and cattle, but we quitted all (with the exception of 8 buHocke and one pen of sheep), prices., satisfactory. Tho State Farm - hoggets -• and lambs wero a really gdoa I lot7;the"hogffet9 bringing the record.price for this season of 245. We quote:—Fat ewes, 155., 15s. Dalgflty and Company, Limited (Palmerston North branch)- report:—At our Palmerstbn North sale on Thursday we had a small entry of sheep and. a heavy yarding of cattle, the bulk of which were quitted at the following prices :^Sheop: 2-tooth wethers (shorn), 10s. 6d. Cattle: Yearling Gteers, £2 10s. to £2 165.; yearling heifers, to £3 6s; extra good dairy, heifers (fifteen months), to £4 10s.: empty cows, £3 45.; springing heifers, £3 155., £4 15s. to £5 55.; cows with calves, to £4 15s. j bulls, £5. Messrs. Dalgcty and Company. Limited (Palmerston North branch) state:—We have to report that at our Taihapo horse sale on -Thursday wo had an entry of 80 horses, cnioily lighter sorts.. H. We quote:—Shorn aged owes and lambs, 95.; store ewes. Bs. 10d.; 2tooth Komney ewes. 21s; 6d.t forward cows, £4 Is. to £4 14s.
Mr. Newton King's weekly stock report is as follove:—On November 18 I held a clearing sale- at Tataraimaka- on account of Mr. J. Sansom. The cows wore a nice even lot, ir. good condition, and competition being keen, good prices were realised throughout. Cows at profit made £6 to £12 10s.; springing cows close up, £8 to £12 10s. j later do., £5 10s. to £7; empty cows, £4 2e. 6d.; bulls, £6 10s. to £12 Ks.; "empty heifers. £4 17s. 6d.; store pigs, 16s. to 265. 6d.; sows, 375. 6d.; oalves, £1 lie.: mare, £14155.: filly, £7 55.; bay mare, £10 155., £22, £16 10s.; dray, £15; trap, £12 10s.; disc harrows, £10 55.; sundries, sold as usual.
