Oil Tuesday afternoon the Rev. H. R. W/Farrer began" the first'of his addresses" to women at St.: Hilda's,' Island Bay, ■at 3 p.m., there .being, a' very large congregation.' '.The children's-service followed at 4.15 p.m., which was taken by tho Rev. C. G. Mutter. ;• This' service increases 4n"' popularity every, day,' and the attendance . steadily grows" larger, s; The mission service in the'evening-was. held in 'the As- : eembly Hall,'at.B o'clock, and the num- : bers who came- quite justified: the change from the church-room, as the latter building would: have been quite incapable of holding, the congregation. - The missioner, in his address, said the results of sin do - not remain with ourselves. • Drunkenness, immorality, gambling, in their, effects and example .are. passed on to, and influence, others.
