EXPORT SLAUGHTERING.

1 OPENING OF THE SEASON.

The slaughtering season ie to open an October 24 at Messrs. Borthwick Brothers' works at Paki Paki, Hawke'a Bay. Export slaughtering will probably commence next week at the Wellington Meat Export and - Gear Companies' works. Both, companies are at present engaged in the slaughter of lambs for local consumption.
