By Councillor Skirtcliife:—"That ■ the following resolution passed at a meeting of the City Council held on September. 8,: 1910, be rescinded:—'That the Legislation Committee's powers be extended so that they can deaf with all corporation lease-, hold property except Town Belt, and also all questions of land compensation,'" By Councillor Shirtcliffc •—"That before the final .plans for. Hie new railway'station and yards aro adopted, the Government be urged to again consider the advisability of taking up the Lambton-Te Aro section of railway, and that' other local bodies, the Chamber of Commerce, and the members for the'district be asked to co-operate with the councilin making the necessary representations."
By Councillor Barber:—"That a return be laid upon the table showing the number of properties'owned by-the council and fronting Adelaide Road, the. number let, and the rents:obtained from same." ;
By Councillor Fletcher:—"That- the resolutions 1 passed by the council altering the names of certain streets-in the city. of Wellington be rescinded, viz.:—(a) Resolution passed on September 22, 1910, adopting the 'report of the By-laws SubCommittee on the Duplicated Street Names of tte City and Outlying Districts of. tlie City.'i (b) Resolution passed on , October 0, 1910, adopting with sundry amendments 'report of By-laws, Fixe Brigade and Street Lighting Committee No. 2 regarding duplicated street names. , ".
