The annual meeting of: th^ jWairafapa Brick, Tile, and Drainpipe Company, was held here on Tuesday, Mr. J. A., Dudson presiding. The. report and balancesheet was adopted. Messrs. T; vG.Uriderhill and H. Krahagen were reelected directors, and Mr. J. A. Dudson chairman. •. ■At a meeting.of the Druids'.Lodge on Monday evening Bros. M'Eenziei! Fairbrother, and Wallis t were appointed delegates to act with the Friendly Societies' ... Council in arranging a "social" as a wind-up to the card!tournament. It' was decided to invite the brethren of Stonohenge Lodge, Masterton, to a,card tournament after the conclusion of. the ordinary, business next lodgo night; A guinea , /was voted from the benevolent fund towards a distressed member of Turanganui Lodge, Gisborho.
The Carterton School Committee has instructed one of its membors to interview local dentists in regard to tho examination of the teeth of scholars, and, in cases whore it may seem necessary, that the teeth should require attention, to report to the parents concerned. : ■ '
