SCIENCE ADVANCEMENT.

A meeting of the council of the Association for the Advancement of Science was'held in Royal Society's" Hall, Sydney, on October 5.. - Mr. R. Teece was in. the chair, .and there, were present:—Professors, Fawsitt and Pollock, Revs. Di\ Brown andß. .'Danlcs, Drs. Logaii'Jaclr, Chapman, Greig Smith, and Woolnough, Messrs. Guthrie,-. A. Maiden (permanent lion, secretary). ;•-.'..■ ■'• "■-A letter was read from the Lord-Mayor of Sydney, enclosing a letter from the Prime Minister, stating that th'e British Association, had. unanimously accepted the invitation of the Commonwealth, Government to visit Australia during the year 1914.
