ARGUMENT IN A- HOTEL BAR.

Station-Sergeant' Darby informed the magistrate that the two' men had' beeii having an argument in tho hotel bar, and . had . come to . blows. . Both ' weri sailors, and nothing was, known, against them previously. . '.. ; ': The. magistrate imposed a fine of 20s 'on each /defendant for .each' .chargo,. an;', they - were.- ordered to "make, good th'. damage between them. The alternative was seven .days'.imprisonment.

George Perrin, John Reed, and Mieliaci .M'Mohon, for drunkenness, were each fined 10s., with tlio alternative of <18 hours' imprisonment. Annie Evans, charged with drunkenness was remanded for a v.oek for medical treatment. One first offender was fined 55., with ihe.usual alternative. : •••■
