FRENCH STRIKE OVER.

Briana, has smashed the railway strike. The men are gradually resuming work. ' There have been a number of sporadic movements in other trades in sympathy with the railway men, hut. they havo not been disquieting in face of. the Government's firmness.' Tho troops dispersed a gathering of fifteen thousand builders and navvies who are agitating for a reduction ,of their day to nino hours with the present pay.
