Adelaide.':'- .'--;.' .Tho steamer' Stratlinairn.' which is now seven dayß overdue at Hobart from Dunedin, is a steel scrow ntcamer of 4556 tons register, commanded by Captain A. Jl'Ley. She is classed. 100 Al at Lloyd's,. and was built'by A;: Bodßor and.Oo, of Glasgow, in 1906, to order of her.owners, the Strathnairn S.S. Co. (Burrcll. and Son) at; Glas-:, gbw- The Strathnairn's leadinc dimensions aro: Length, 370 ft.; beam, .52ft.; draught, 17ft. when loaded. The vessel first arrived in .New Zealand wators at- Auckland -on August 25, with phosphates, from Hakodate, ; - Japan, after a passage ■of 27, days. She aiade call's at Napier,. Lyttclton, Timaru, and' Dunedin for purposes of discharge. She left the southern port, on October 1, for Hobart and Southport,, to load timber for California.
