Tho Wellington Lacrosse Atesociatioa, held a smoke concert at Godber's Roams," Cuba ° Street;-" last 'night, the 'Hon. T. W. Hislop presiding. The 1 hst of toasts honoured included. "The King," "The Champions," proposed by Sir. A. H.' Casey, and resDonded to by Messrs. Meyer and Proud; J The Wellington Lacrossa Association," proposed by the Hon. T. W. Hislop,' and responded' to' Vf Mr. : P. J. M'Govern; and "Kindred Sports," proposed by Mr. S. J. Moran. The gatherroi! was a very pleasant ono, the toasts bemg interspersed with songs and other items. During the evening the Proud Cap wss presented to the season's champions (KeJbnrne) by the chairman, who congrablr lated the team on its achievement m finishing at tho head of tins competitioa.
