(Prom Our Spccial Correspondent.) At tho Police Court, l'ctone, a first offt-udcr was brought before Mr. W. Inglis, J.l'., yesterday morning, and charged with "being drunk whilst it charge of a horse and trap. He was convicted and lined 55., in default 21 hours' imprisonment.

Townsend, who represented the Good Templar Order at the convention, gave a report of tho proceedings, and. satisfaction was expressed that four Good Templars had been elected to the Alliance Executive, and that the conference had practically adopted tho Good Templars' platform, vis:., Dominion prohibition by a bare majority, aud political action.
