Referring to the projected change in the system of handling railway goods traffic in.'Wellington, tho Hon, J. A, Millar (Minister for Railways) told » Dominion reporter' yesterday that as' a result business would be facilitated, and both tho public' and the Department would bonefit, It-was proposed to use the Thorndon goods-shed in future sirnply for "inward" goods and, the Larnbton goods-shed for "outward" only. No new buildings would bo required, but two or three now sidings would bo necessary. It was reckoned that under the new system no increaeq in staff would bo required and a saving of several hundred pounds per annnni would be effected.
