The choir of St. Andrew's Presby-r terian Church last night gave Stainert cantata, "The Crucifixion?' There was a very good attendance, and the choir rendered the hymns and anthems with a great deal of precision and expression. The solos were taken by Messrs. Bryant, Johnston, and Harper, and Mr. Rowley was. at the organ. At the conclusion of the cantata three sacred solos were sung .by Mr. Johnston, Miss Smith, and Mr. Bryant, -
It is understood that the decision of the Government with reference to tho trouble which took place at the Dominion Scouts' camp at the Hutt Park will be made known to-day.
On tho recommendation of the Tramways Committee of tho City Council it has beeu decided that the maximum faro to be charged on the new Wadostown tram lino shall be 2d. The Mayor pointed out that it did not follow that tho fare would bo' 2d., but it could not be higher than 2d., and a fare had to fixed for gazetting.
