Mr. Newton King's weekly stock report is as followG:—At the Haymarkct, on Saturday, a largo number of pigs wore penned, which sold at prices slightly in advance of previous rates. Weaners made ss. 6d. to 12s. 6d.; stores, 13s. 6d. to 175.; porkers, 255. 6d. to 28s. 6d. At Pohokura, on Tuesday, I held my supplementary aheep fair, , but tho weather was again very wet, the surrounding flats being flooded, and, in consequence, a number of the sheep advertised did not come forward, though about 3000 of all classes wero penned. Competition was good, everything being sold at the hammer -with the exception 'Of one lino of aged ewes, which were passed in. Shorn lambs (small) made ss. 4d. to ss. 9d.; two-tooth ewee, 14s. 2d. to 15s. Id.; two and four-tooth owes, 13s. lid. to 15s. 6d.; f.m. ewes, 7s. 6d. to.Bs. All young cattle were well competed for, and although prices for weaners were not quite as high as of late, full market prices were realised. Good prices were realised at the furniture sale held on account of Mr. F. A. Cramer. On Wednesday, at New Plymouth, I held my autumn horse fair, aoout 176 horses being catalogued. There was a largo attendance, including several outside buyers. Hack and light harness classes were in the majority, but good sorts were not numeroue. Anything showing quality was well competed for, but ordinary or weedy horses were practically unsaleable. In the light draught classes a few really nice animals were penned, and Auckland buyers secured most of those sold; Vendors', and buyers' ideas of value in some cases were not in harmony, and a few good animals went home. Unbroken draught fillies, two-year-old, made £23 10s.; unbroken half-draughts, three-years, mado £13 to £16; do., four-year-old, £15 to £26; unbroken hack and harness horses made £6 15s. to £10 10s.; do., express hbrses,up\to £15 55.; broken draughts and half-draughts mado £18 to £25 10s.; hack and light harness, £4 10s. to £10 10s.; weeds, £1 to £2 15s. A number of second-hand buggies and gigs .were sold, and realised good prices. On Thursday, at Waiwakaiho, I held my supplementary sheep fair in con;unc(;on with my ordinary cattle sale. There was a good yarding of both sheep and cattle, young sheep being in good demand, and sold readily, but old cwcb wore hard to quit. Several lines wero passed at the hammer, but were mostly disposed of before leaving the yards, wore ■dull of salo, but grown cattle sold at late ruling pricee.
