A boy named Bacon, of Holland's Jplains, near I'ort Macqnarie, was given some detonators by another lad, who found them. Bacon's mother was ignorant of their nature, and told him to throw them away. Hβ threw them in the kitchen fire. A terrific explosion resulted, and tho lad was literally Uowd to pieces. •'■•'■■■.
