ROSS GOLDFIELDS COMPANY. : (By Telegraph.—Press Association.' Cliristehurch, March 9. The manager of the Ross Goldfields Company telegraphed to Dr. to-day as follows:—"The' seventh level is unwatcred, but I could only examine one chain of the workings on account of • bad air. The timber is sound.". Dr. Neeley states that the seventh level is one from which gold was formerly taken from the mine. . The" workings referred: to in the telegram should be clear in ■ a day or two. The company do not expect to take out waßh dirt until the permanent pumps are installed. . ~..;.
