(By Telegraph.—Press Association.! Dunedin, March 9. At Burnside stock Eales to-day 137 cattle were yarded. On account of : the small yarding competition' was keen and prices considerably firmer than last week. The best price obtained for prime bullocks was £11 2s. 6d.; medium to good brought froiri £8 17s. 6d. to £9 7s. fid., while interiors brought from £7 2s. 6d. to £8 10s. Heifers realised from £4 Its. to £5.' 6s. Sheep: A fairly large yarding of 1885. The quality, with the exception of a few odd pens of prime. wethers, was medium. The price for good wethers showed a ttrmcr tendency than last week, but for inferiors they were not so good. Extra prime wethers, to 17s. 9d.; good, 15s. to 165.; medium, 13s. 6d v to Us. 6d.; and inferior, 12s. to 135.; best ewes, Us. 6d. to 135.; for inferior, Bs. to 12s. Lambs: 2498 yarded. The quality was inferior to last week's. Prices for wellfinished lambs of good quality were equal to laßt.week's, but unfinished lighter sorts were: a little easier, Extra., prime, to 145.; good, 13s. 6d. to 14s. 6d.; medium, Its. to 12s. 6d.; and inferior, 10s. to lis. Owing to pressure on our space the reports of several stock sales haje had to" be held over.
