WELLINGTON dSSOCIATION. There was a large ottendance of delegates at the auiiual meeting of the W«IJington Football Association, held in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms last evening. Mr. H. N. Holmes presided. The annual report and balance-sheet—a summary of which has already appeared in these: columnswere adopted. . The application of St. Augustine's Club for affiliation to the association .was accepted, and an application from the Pork rua Boys' Club for affiliation was' reierred' to the incoming Management Committee. -,■'.,■■ A considerable amount of correspondence: was nlso relegated to the , 'incoming Management Committee for consideration. ••■-...;...- ■ The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows •-Patron, Mr. C.. JVilliams. .- , : . .. ;. ._-..•■ ; It .was resolved, on the motion of Mr. H.;N.-Holmes, to alter Eule 5 of the bylaws, after the words: "jurisdiction-of■ the Wellington Football Association" to include, ."any member of - the Management Committee absenting himself from three consecutive meetings without leave' of the Management Committee shall be deemed to have vacated his seat on the Management Committee." .■ " •■ ! It was.decided on the motion .of Mr. A.; Williams; to alter Rule 3—rules, for leagrie contest after the words ment. A.-Hunter, in the chair. ' ; In moving the adoption of the annual report; Professor Hunter called upon members" of the. club to remember that football was played for the pleasure of tKe game, and not. for cup points. While-' remembering the ideal, however, it-should not bo forgotten that university football, should be of a high standard as football,'and, vath the new gymnasium, the last excuse for want of training had disappeared. Tho following officers were elected: Patron, Professor Kirk; president, ■ -T, A. Hunter; vice-presidents,- members of Professorial Board, Mr. It; M'Callm, and Dr. I. Hunter; club.c'aptain.Mr. F.
