Present: Messrs.; Styles- (chairman); Nash, Hennessy, ' Gardner, and Wood. '..'■ ; Mr. Styles was re-elected chairman. . ' ■'■■..-. The .by-laws, for. the, guidance;of the board were.adopted. ■[■ ■ ■'■'■:.' Correspondence was read-, from.'the Minister for Marine, with reference" to the" board acquiring the wharf,'stating that, a Departmental j officer would report on the matter, :and he , would.let-the'board know his decision Las soon as possible. •'■-.■ The secretary ,was instructed to write 'to the Manawatu County Council to the effect that the board would subsidise a. loan for the beach /road, but would require an estimate .of. the rates that'would accrue. , ' -.■'.■'. ; ; ; :; ..'. . .
