Moore,'.presiding';', and beilig supported by Mrs. Williams 1 , and , .several enthusiastic,: workers. The hall was laid out with tables laden with good cheer, arid tho upper portion pf.tho room was hung 'with flags ami Chinese lanterns. The gathering also entertained the workers at tho recent.bazaar. . The. evoning was a most successful ono'in every. respect, congratulatory , speeches being . the -"general rule. Tho toastlist included ;/rarliamoht,'f'.proposed by tho missioned • and, responded ■■ to by Mr. J?oolc, .M.P.,.'-'Mrs.- ;: \Villiains, ) ' ; ; the-- donor of the Mission Building,'and "The.Bazaar Workers." During the.course of the evening.it was stated that the attendances at mission, concerts dur. ing tho year' totalled 25,516, and there.-wore .over 800 names'.on the books of ladies ami gentlemen willing , to give concerts,at tho Institute. The: ambulance ovenings ; during . tho year had been attended by 35,000 persons, and the->attendance at church services had . been 27,901: : ; A : .total of 9573 letters - were written at tho Institute during -tlibv .year; .; ... ■ : • ; Musical items'wore feiven during the.evening by.
