The .opening cerijmony will be performed by his Worship tho Mayor (Dr. Newman) at 3 p.m. The display of articles for sale aro of a very varied and useful description, including a selection, of household necessaries, and a fine rango of fancy goods.The building has been nicely decorated, and tho salo which' tho ladies have arranged being for tho purpose of reducing tho building debt deserves success. Tho salo will be continued in the evening, and to-morrow afternoon and evening. Admission during tho afternoon will bo, free, but a charge of (id. will bo,made in tho evenings, for which a coupon -will be' given entitling the holder to its valuo at any stall. The churchroom is just abovo the KclburneKarori Viaduct, and within one minute from the tunnel section of tho Karori tram-lino. A large retail drapery house in Australia recontly sold over 1200 bottles of a famous Kew Zealand hair tonic in. eleven days, and have cabled for further supplies. This speaks volumes' for Iho merit of tho article, as Australians are. not easily fooled.
