NEW ZEALAND COUNCIL. IMPORTANT MATTERS DISCUSSED. The first meeting of tho members of the new Council of the N.Z.A.A.A, was held last night. Present:—Dr. Newman (in the chair), and Messrs. W. H. Pollock, Thompson, Davis, Robinson, Bridge, Larkin, Davies, Chaffey, and Marcyatt. , Election of Office-Bearers. Pursuant to the constitution, the election of office-bearers was held, and resulted as under:—President, Dr. Newman; vioe-presi-dents, Messrs. A. Marryatt and J, Vf. Davii; acting secretary and treasurer, Mr! Marryatt; and auditor, Mr. C. W. Trmgham' junior. ' Secession fidrn Sports Federation. It was pointed out by tho' chairman that it was desired at the rcoent conference of ,delerates that tho council should eecodo from the Now Zealand Sports Federation. Mr Pollock moved, and Mr.' Chaffey seconded a resolution in that direction. Tho motion was agreed to. Australasian Championships.
