Prices havo an upward tendency,, present values representing- an advance from a penny to twopence, compared with tho prices ruling, a couplo of weeks ago. Fairly extensive shipments are being made to the United Kingdom, and, were shipping available, the trade would probably assume siderablo volume. Space, however, is difficult to procure. ; . ■The English wheat market, having become steadier, .has given a better tone to'the local market. At tho beginning of 'the week'buyers were disinclined.to do business, except at much lower rates than those ruling during the week before.'
