"Fj. W.," Hawko's Bay.—Fish guano varies in quality. A sample has been found to con-, tain:—Phosphate of lime, 17.28' per cent.; nitrogen equal to ammonia, 10.50 per cent.; water, 18.98 per cent. This would be worth'' about £6 per ton. The amount of'moisture contained in the manure varies considerably, and, of course, this affects its value per ton.
