SLIP IN THE MANAWATU GORGE.

A- slip camo down on the railway lino in the .Manawatu Gorgo this morning, after the morning train to Palmerston had' got through., Tlio slip delayed the midday and also tlio two o'clock trains from I'almcrston,' but tho lino was' cleared about 4.30, which: enabled passengers by both trains to reach >jWoodvillo station about fivo o'clock. A largo number of passengers en route to Auckland had,to.wait at Woodville until tho lino was cleared. Heavy rain for tho,past twenty-four hours has made tho rivers very high, and a great body of water is, going down tho Manawatu.
