Eichelbaum as assistant in English, in placo of Mr; Allan Macdougall, whose acceptance of tho Rhodes Scholarship necessitated his declining this appointment, which was conferred recently. The Rev. W. R. Tuck, M.A., was welcomed on Tuesday evening to tho Island Bay section of tho Wellington Suburban Circuit at Wesley Church, Island Bay. The Rev. T. Fee, president of the conference, presided. The programme .consisted of songs - by the Misses G. and J. Hill and Mr. Power, and a recitation by Mr. H. B. Cooper. The Rev. W; J. Williams delivered.an address, and Mr. J. W. Copithorne, representing the congregation, 'welcomed Mr. Tuck, who replied in suitable terms.
