Sir, —In the theatrical retrenchment just accomplished by the Ministry, they overlook tho fact that they have lost the cream of tho intelligence of tho services at a most useful ago; tD gain what? The so-called saving of a quarter of a million pounds sterling will not reduco taxation, but spells ruin to the workers of Ncftr Zealand by thtt withdrawal from circulation, of £250,000 annually.—l am, etc., 1865. !
