EASTER HOLIDAYS.

LIST OF ATTRACTIONS. Should Easter prove to do fine, and at present'there- is'every likelihood of "this, it should bo a time well-filled with opportunities for amusement. Following is a list of the events, engagements, and attractions which havo to date been made for Wellington and tho surrounding .district. ■' Tho churches, Y.M.C.'A., and Catholio Clubs.—Froni Good Friday to Easter Monday special services will bo held daily jji all the various churches. At Palmcrston .North, tho' Y.M.C.'A, will hold a young men's camp, which promises to bo a record of ite'kind for Australasia. On Sunday, Catholic graduates and undergraduates, who are old boys of St. Patrick's College, will hold a religious conference and social reunion at SaD Antonio, fUuritai. • Tlio conference of . Federated Catholic Clubs will open on Saturday in St. Patrick's Hall, Boulcott Street. University Tournament.—The annual tournatnent of tlie-colleges- of the University of JN'ow £ealand will. commenco on Saturday, when, after a. civic reception has been accorded the students, a start will be made with.the tennis championships. The tournament debate will be held on Saturday evening, and tho athletic events will bo decided at the Basin Reserve on 'Monday. Ladies' hockey matches. will; also bo hold, and the wind-up of the tournament will bo a university ball on Tuesday evening. Volunteers and K-iflo' Clubs.—The chief event in the volunteer world; will be ttio Easter manoeuvres, which wiirbo conducted at Oringi, Hawko's Bay; throughout the holidays. A rifle club field meeting will he held at Palmerston North, and the Garrison Artillery will practise at Fort Ballance. Dowls. —Tho Wellington Howling Centre's Easter tournament will commenco 'on Friday, and be continued on Saturday and Monday. Games will bo played on all tho city greens except thoso of the Wellington Club. Football.—Two football matches have been arranged for the Athletic Park on Saturday. Christchuroh Albion will play Ponek'e, and a Wanganui team will bo . pitted Melrose.
