Yesterday afternoon at tie Terrace Congreg'ational Church, Miss Jessie Muriel West, daughter of the late-Dr. West and Mrs. West; was married to Mr. Leonard Basil Wall, the Rev. J. It. Glasson officiating. The bridesmaids were Miss' Norah West and Miss Elaine West, sisters of the-bride, Miss Uladys Uear, Aiiss Elsie JNewbiggeii, and JVliss Eileen iJlundell. The bridegroom was attended-by Mr. Austin Biggs as best man, and Messrs. W-. P.: Endean and J. Macky," of Auckland, aagroomsmen. ' Tho bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr. F. Hales, wore a charming dress of wliite duchess satin, made in' empire style, with tucked chiffon yoke and sleeves of rucked chiffon, tho yoke outlined with pearl sequin trimming, the bodice draped with exquisite: Venetian lace caught up and fastened with a spray of orange blossom. With this she wore a wreath of orange-blossom-and a very beautiful veil of Venetian lace, ■: and instead of a bouquet she carrjed a sheaf, of white lilies. The bridesmaids' frocks were charming. Two of them wore of pale green,' two of pale blue, and. itheT fifth pink; Two were made of white chitton, embroidered with tiny sprays of palo ,pink and green,' with elaborately workod border of ■ flowers and truo lover's knots, made over pale green silk, with square yokes' , of tucked chiffon edged with wide bands iof laco embroidered in green. The other frocks wore made in the same way, with .square yokes outlined with lace insertion; .■ embroidered with silk to match. r All the bridesmaids wore large merry widow hats of black silk, with bands of pale pink ribbon crossing the crown and tied under the chin. The; crowns were wreathed with large pink roses, and those of thq two sisters were trimmed with large . green- shaded 'roses. They; carried shower bouquets of pale pink flowers. After the wedding a reception was held at the home-of the bride's- mother, where about a hundred and fifty guests assembled.- Mrs. West received in a handsome frock of black lace over glaco silk, with strappings of the silk and jet sequined trimming. Narrow strappings of silk placed closely_ together from band to hem of the skirt, and were finished off with applique design in silk.
