Pikiho, who had run second to Toango in the Maiden Race on tho first day, was the favourito selection for tho Hack Scurry, but Leahora, after allowing Campaign to lead for a oouplo of furlongs, went to tho front, and won in hollow fa-shion.

Tho High-weight Hack Handicap was a rather'unsatisfactory affair. 'Nadyno opened a hot favourito, but, before tho cioso of betting operations, sho had drifted out of the market, and Knight Commander and Stormlight woro both better favourites. Then the San Rcmo mare got all tho worst' of a wrotched start, and, at tho end of a couple of furlongs, looked to bo hopelessly out of it. She put in a wonderful run from tho bottom of tho straight, but her rider, in attempting to get through on tho inside, was blocked, and nearly hoisted over t!?o rails. This allowed Knight Commander, who had been prominent from tho start, to win comfortably. The stewards held an inquiry into the bumping that took placo in tho straight, and .tho riders of Nadyno and Hilarian woro enjoinod to bo moro carcful in future.

Morrio Roso was withdrawn from tho Autumn Handicap, as slio went lamo on tho track the morning of tho race, and Kelso, being also withdrawn, there wero only foulstarters to contest tho event. Osiris had the services of Jenkins, and was well supported by his connections, but ho had no chance with tho favourite, Maiora, who won very comfortably at the finish. The Soult gelding is in fine condition still, and would bo hard to boat in any company up to a mile.

Waiwareware was a firm favourito for the y Railway Hack, with Royal Maid next in demand. Royal Maid acted as pacemaker, but 0 \\ aiwarewaro had no difficulty in disposing of her at the business end. Sealer was last 6 to commence, and never looked dangerous. - The Final Welter was a good open race, , Kurawaka being a slightly better favourito s than Aberration, while Toa Tubi and Lamsdorff wero both well supported. Jonkins was 5 seen at his best on Kurawaka. He got the San I 1 ran mare well away from tho barrier, but steadied her, and allowed Toa Tuhi and Aberration to make the pace. He had to pome on tho outside at the home bend, and it looked for a fow seconds as if Lamsdorff 2 was going too well for Kurawaka, but Jenkins rodo a magnificent finish, and scored by 3 ft neck. Lethean waa badly jammed on the rails at tho homo turn, and camo-down, his ridor, F. Cress, sustaining a broken collar- _ bone. . Aberration was submitted to auction j after the race, but the bidding ceased at 150 t guineas, and ho was passed in. . . In the Telegraph Hack Handicap Incy , was made tho hottest favourito of tho day. , She . was just' a trifle sore after her race on the previous day, but otherwiso looked vory well. She was last to leave tho mark, but was quickly into her stride, and had everything .well beaten before the straight was reached. Axite, who was second favourito, 1 finished absolutely last. > Winning jockeys at the meeting were:— F. Cress threo, C. Jenkins two, Geo. Prico I two, S. Reid, L. Wilson, H. Cairns, W. , Kirk, E.
