Creymouth, October 19, A sad boating fatality occurred at Lak« runner on Saturday evening. It appcari mt Mr. and Mis. Green and family went it on the tako in two boats. Mr. and Mrs. rcon and a boy aged 14 years, in a flat)ttomed boat, had proceeded, as far as . orseshoo Bay, and were returning betweer and 6 o'clock on their homeward trip, lien tho boy decided to change places ith his father. While they were in tho act changing, tho boat capsized and turnec' r er. As soon as the boat filled, Mr. and Mrs. ' rcen sank, and tho boy did not sen them ;ain. Tho lad hung on to the bottom of, o boat till the second boat came up, when ! was rescued. Tli© occupants of the second boat spent'a nsiderablc time; in searching for Mr. and rs. Green, but without avail. The bov states that his. father could'' ■iin, and surmised that lie, tried to rescue rs: Green, and both wero drowned.
