"Constant Reader."—(l) Keel: Tallowwood or bluegnm (tlio former for choice). (2) Planking: Dry cedar or, if this is too expensive, white pino. (3) Bibs: "Blackwood" or black birch. It will bo found extremely difficult to bend the planking for a 12ft. boat of any beam without steaming, or at least . boiling. The cedar is best for this, and for its non-shrinking qualities. Would recommend 9in. planking. No information as to price.
