Mother Mary Aubcrt, Dr. Platts-Mills, Mesdamcs Evans, Hblgate, Hoby, and Miss Brown. Six cases that had come before tho ; Society since ■tho last meeting wero dealt with, one being a caso of alleged ill-treatment of boys. . Mrs. Despard, hon., treasurer of the' Eng-' lish Women's Freedom League, has returned her income-tax form to tho collector, after writing across it, !'As taxation without representation is acknowledged in England to bo a form of tyranny, I, being unrepresented, deciino to pay this tax." She calls upon all tax-paying women to ;follow her load, and thus protest'against their voteless condition.
