NEW DRAINAGE PROPOSALS. The members of {he Onslow Borough Council present at' tile fortnightly meeting last night were the Mayor (Mr. .1. G. Harkness), Councillors D. J. Watson, W. R. Plimmcr, C. Aplin, B. Lynneberg, I l '. Kiernan, nnd J. E. Fitzgerald. ' • A proposal of the engineer to amend tho drainago scheme' for Kaiwarra by constructing a septic tank in the bed of the stream was approved. Tho engineer also reported that a nuisance was created; at Kaiwarra by poultry getting under tho houses and roosting there. It was decided to call tho attention of the Health Officer to tho matter, and that the clerk draw tip a by-law. to be submitted to the Council, dealing with poultry.
