All claims for paid daylight parades and camp allowances must, in future, be rendered within Bovcii days of such servico to insur© payment. ; j ■ It is requested that each regiment or battalion should procure a few temporary shelters for their' men when doing outpost duty or bivouacking during'' tho : coming faster manoeuvres. ■' The Dcfcnce 'Act Amendment Act 1907, Section 2, _ paragraph 2/ reads as "follows:— If any officer of Volunteers or any' Volunteer fails without'reasonable eieuse to appear at' the annual' inspection parade of the Inspector-General, or other officer appointed to hold the annual inspection; tho InspectorGeneral ' or the commanding officer of his corps or district shall order him to' pay a fino of £5 in the case 'of'ail officer, or of £1 in'the caso of a ; Volunteer.
