Bt IEIiEGHArn—VItRB3 association—corsnitniT. , Perth, February 4, • The Union Company's new; turret steamer Koromiko, for tlic cargo trade, was surveyed ill conSequcubo of a report to tlio effect that slio had sprung a leak on tho voyage out. It was found that tho Cargo in No. 1 hold, consisting of. superphosphates, had been completely. dostroyed by sea-water. On JalUlfiry 13 it wis cabled from London that the Union Company's steamer Kfcvoniiko had Teached Capetown in a damaged condition, and was discharging part of her cargo. On January 14 OUf fi|>eeial correspondent tolcgraphed l'rom Duncdin that "tho wording of tho cablegram about the Koromiko convoys a suggestion of more damage to the vessel than that actually sustained, , which Was trivial. The Koromiko Arrived it Capetown with several Mots sprung, the result, it -is sM-miStol, of tho Vessel fouling some floating obstacle in the Course of the voyage. A portion of the cargo was disolmrtred in. order to have the d.im.igo repairod. The Koromiko was delayed only a fow hours at] Capetown boforo leaving for Fromatitle."
